Ifaz grew up in an academic and science family. His math journey began in secondary school. Having always had a strong interest in video games and the internet as a source of knowledge, Ifaz thought he was going to study Computer Engineering for his higher studies. With some strong influences from his high school Economics teachers, Ifaz thought he was going to study Economics. He then made a very random decision to pursue a degree in Mathematics instead of Economics.
 
Desiring some geographic mobility after graduation, Ifaz enrolled into Computer Science only to discover new exciting types of discrete mathematics - algorithmic analysis, automata theory, and programming languages.

After graduating with a Bachelors in Pure Math and Computer Science with a minor in Economics, Ifaz did a Masters in Computer Science, and is currently doing a PhD in Computer Science.

Sarah began honing her math skills when she was just 5 years old. By grade 6, she was enrolled in math competitions, even attending university courses. She eventually graduated University with a Bachelors of Mathematics, Double Majoring in Mathematical Finance & Statistics. 

Professionally, Sarah has worked across multiple industries, including banking, technology, and natural resources. While she specializes in data strategy, Sarah was trained as a data scientist and has worked in innovation, data governance, AI, strategy, and even has a stint as CEO of a tech startup. Her other passions include advanced mathematics education for secondary students.  

She was the Deputy Leader for Math Team Canada at the International Mathematics Olympiad, and Canada's first appearances at the European Girls Math Olympiad. Sarah was named one of the Women's Executive Network Top 100 Most Powerful Women in 2019.
